Description
On offer is a fantastic, immaculate Silver Carving Set designed by the famous Leonie Lambert. As the images show, the set is in perfect condition and is an excellent example of what French Silversmiths can manufacture. Both the Knife & Fork is fully marked with Minerva’s head hallmark in the neck of the handles. The silver standard is 950/1000; a very high purity that is shown in the luminosity of the pieces. The blade of the knife is also marked “LAMBERT, Paris 187 rue du Temple for Léonie Lambert. We estimate the age of the set to be 1900-1910. The set is in fantastic condition for its age. The three prong fork is beautiful and is a staple of French design; delicate and forged to perfection. The guard is in good order.
The Carving Knife measures 33.5 cms & weighs 112 Grammes. The Carving Fork measures 30cms and weighs 130 Grammes.
