Description
A Sterling Silver Letter Opener bearing the Hepplewhite Pattern.
On offer today is a beautiful Sheffield Sterling Silver Bladed Letter Opener. This piece bears the Lion Passant (English Silver) and the Crown (for Sheffield Assay Office), however the date letter is rubbed, therefore we estimate this piece to date back to 1870. The Makers Mark H.H is also present on the ferrule, depicting the sought after Henry Howson. This piece is in pristine condition and is accompanied by a presentation case.
The total length of the Letter Opener is 23.5 cm and the weight is 52 grammes.
This is a magnificent piece of Sheffield history that will increase in value for years to come.
