On offer today is a Sheffield Carved Mother of Pearl Handled Letter Opener. The piece bears the Lion Passant (English Silver), the Crown (for Sheffield Assay Office) and the date letter w for 1905. The handle is Mother of Pearl, deep and rich with a range of colour reflecting in the light – truly a magnificent piece. Pristine condition. Total length 22.5cm and weight 49 grammes. The piece also bears the Makers Mark CB&S – the Makers Mark for the highly sought after Cooper Brothers & Sons. Supplied with a presentation case.
