At The Sheffield Cutlery Shop we are proud to offer you today a fantastic Antique Canteen of Cutlery manufactured by William Hutton & Sons Ltd that was located in a grand factory on West Street here in Sheffield. This is in collaboration with Thomas Turner and Co that manufactured the Ivory Table & Dessert Knives, as well as the Carving Set. This Canteen has been lovingly restored by our team of Master craftsmen with each piece being individually assessed and then restored as the images show. This canteen bears the Rattail Pattern – a favourite from the English Cutlery Collection, gracing family dining tables since the 1700s, transcending generations with its simplicity and charm.

The set bears a heavy deposit of Silver Plate and is ready to be used an enjoyed for many more years. Truly a fantastic set that will not go unnoticed. The Ivory Table & Dessert Knives, as well as the Carving Set will be provided razor sharp just as they left the factory many years ago. All Handles are in great condition – The Sharpening Steel showing cracks but all other handles are fantastic. Canteens of this quality and condition are a rarity – the weight, quality, feel of this cutlery is nothing short of phenomenal. Not only this, but the sheer quantity of serving pieces and accessories make this Canteen such a special set.  Dating from around the 1880’s, the set is in fantastic condition.
