Here is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a genuine Type 3 Gold Plated Army Issue Commando Knife. The Knife has ‘J Nowill & Sons Sheffield’ Stamped on the Diamond Guard. There is also the model number and the Crows Foot to show that the piece is MOD Issue. Every component of this item is manufactured by hand by the finest craftsmen, from the handle, guard, blade – all here in Sheffield. The heavily ribbed handle feels excellent in the hand and with the addition of the Gold Plated handle, this makes this Commando Knife a Collectors favourite.
The Blade is mirror polished by hand to give its famous bright finish. The Knife measures 29 cm and weighs 220 grammes. The piece also comes complete with a Black Leather Belt Sheath, also Made in England. We also offer this model with a Black Leather Leg Sheath also if you view our ‘Commando and M.O.D Knife Category’. It is not required sharpen your Fairbairn Sykes knife. This is because it is a stabbing knife, not a slicing knife and is therefore not made with a razor sharp edge.
